this is the Hylidea, its an ALT model for 8100 Cyclone Defender witch is an exo-force set that retails for £5.00 or $8.00. this is slightly better than vesion 1 with the clips removed from the feet, the legs set 1 stud forward, a less busy back section, slight change to the screen and a bigger 3 rocket launcher

not sure if you know, but last month Paul (ThePlasticJedi) held an X-wing Evolution contest over at FBTB.

Mission Briefing

It's no secret that our new enemy is far more evolved than the Imperials were, and that our squadron of fighters are getting a bit outdated. It is your mission, as our engineer, to build a replica to the scale of a LEGO minifig of your own evolution of the X-wing. We don't want it to look exactly like the X-wing, just share a couple distinct characteristics. We want this new fighter to have an entirely new personality (New overall shape). Now, there are several downfalls of the X-wing, speed, agility, stealth and firepower are all issues that should be addressed. However, I do not require you to fix all of these problems, we're looking for a better balance of each. Also keep in mind that this is supposed to be a medium sized fighter. It can't be so large that it hinders the speed and can't be so small that it hinders the amount of rockets you are able to carry. I do not want to hear things, I want to have visual evidence that it has been improved, be sure to describe the improvements when you submit your model. No shortcuts are to be made during this build, so only actual, unaltered LEGO bricks may be used. I do not want to see one of your old models again, this should be a new model AND a new idea, built and designed specifically for this project.

So i got building my entry. the X-wing Stubby hero
And it got submitted in to the gallery with many other great entry’s.

Then, like 3 weeks later the results were Revealed.

Olog! You guys did great, you have nothing to be ashamed of
Coming in at third place is..... Mystery Machine! Great model, great X-wing feel, good job tzidik!

Coming in at a very close second is..... FoxPrimus!

what you've all been waiting for, coming in at first place
with the model that will take over for the X-wing is...... Legohaulic! Your
vision of an evolved X-wing was a thing of beauty, Congrats!

I came third, i was very chuffed, i never win anything : ) i got the new A-wing set, and thats awsome because i didn't get it first time round
